Full job description
The National Cyber Security Centre, part of the GCSB, is hiring an ongoing full-time Cyber Incident Coordinator. The role manages incidents across their lifecycle, supports victim organisations, coordinates investigative incident response and digital-forensic services, documents response options and operational plans, and produces reports and briefings for senior and technical stakeholders. The published appointing salary range is NZ$87,048 to NZ$92,851.
Requirements & qualifications
Applicants must either have been a New Zealand citizen for at least 10 years, or hold a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, US, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years. Applicants must also be eligible for Top Secret Special security clearance; the official listing says this ordinarily requires a 15-year checkable background in countries where NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and analytical skills are required, with an understanding of or willingness to learn cyber-security concepts.
