NSF expects up to 15 awards, generally $500,000 to $1.5 million total each for 36 months, with up to $8.5 million per year expected for new awards subject to available funds.
Eligibility requirements
Eligible submitters are U.S.-based accredited two- and four-year institutions of higher education and eligible U.S. nonprofit non-academic research or educational organisations. PIs, co-PIs and senior/key personnel must hold qualifying tenured, tenure-track, or primary full-time paid research/teaching appointments at an eligible U.S.-based campus. A PI or co-PI may participate in no more than one proposal per deadline.
