Travel and conference support for eligible mainland researchers attending the Geography and Sustainability: Sustainable Cities international conference at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The conference runs 27–29 November 2026 and covers sustainable transport and mobility, sustainable and healthy cities, and new energy and energy transition. Support may cover travel-document fees, transportation to Hong Kong, HKD 5,000 conference registration, accommodation, meals and local transport. Direct costs are capped at RMB 20,000 for each funded applicant or eligible young participant; about 15 awards are planned.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be PIs of ongoing NSFC projects of at least three years, or qualifying participants with a senior title or doctorate (or two senior recommendations) and the PI's consent. An applicant may include one young participant from the underlying NSFC project who is age 45 or younger.
