Funding for mainland China–Hong Kong young-scholar forums in neuroscience, smart sensing and energy harvesting, automation, and cardiovascular science.
Complete grant details
About four forum projects are planned. NSFC provides up to RMB 200,000 in direct costs per approved project, supporting forum activities held in mainland China and travel for invited plenary speakers from Hong Kong. Forums must take place in 2027 and last no more than three days including travel.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be age 45 or younger, hold a senior professional title, and be the PI or an eligible participant in an NSFC project of at least three years that ends on or after 31 December 2027. They must be the actual forum lead, have an established collaboration foundation with Hong Kong researchers, and satisfy the participant-distribution requirements in the call.
Tips for this grant
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
The official page states a 9 October 2026 16:00 closing time without explicitly labelling the timezone, so only the deadline date is normalized.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
