PNGIMR is recruiting a fixed-term Nursing Officer in Mount Hagen for the ACTUP project, supporting prevention of parent-to-child HIV transmission, case management, point-of-care testing, participant follow-up and research-program documentation.

Full job description

The role supports antenatal and paediatric clinics, HIV parent-to-child transmission prevention, lost-to-follow-up tracing, treatment adherence, point-of-care viral-load and early-infant diagnostic testing, patient records, referrals, study-protocol documentation and field activities.

Requirements & qualifications

Applicants must be Registered Nursing Officers with at least two years of nursing experience, competence supporting antenatal and paediatric prevention programmes and point-of-care testing, experience in clinical, hospital or research settings, health-education and counselling experience, and strong communication, mentoring and reporting skills. Applicants must live or reside in Mount Hagen; accommodation is not provided. Research experience is an advantage.
