Kwathu Kollective is recruiting fellows for a 12-week Game Development Edition of the Nyenyezi Fellowship running from 14 September to 4 December 2026. Fellows will contribute to game-development work alongside the Kwathu team, with exposure to areas such as game systems, storytelling, environment and character design, Unreal Engine workflows, UI/UX, audio and collaborative production.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be ages 13–35 and based in Malawi. Beginners are welcome. Kwathu lists artists, programmers, writers, animators, designers, gamers, students and other young innovators among the intended applicants. Familiarity with Unreal Engine or other game tools is an advantage but is not required, and women are strongly encouraged to apply.
