You will support an innovative pharmaceutical portfolio while building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders. The role combines strategic territory planning, clinical selling, customer education, and business development. You will use market insights, prescribing activity, analytical tools, and managed care information to identify opportunities and strengthen territory performance. Working closely with healthcare providers, you will help communicate treatment value and influence clinical decision-making. This is a remote, field-based position with significant travel and the opportunity to make a direct impact across a critical geographic market. Develop territory business plans using analytical tools, strategic direction, market opportunities, and growth potential. Drive territory performance through increased prescribing activity and market share growth. Stay informed about managed care coverage for relevant products and communicate coverage information effectively to healthcare providers. Apply and continuously refine clinical selling techniques to demonstrate treatment value and influence customer thinking around patient care. Manage the promotional budget and determine expenditures on promotional activities in alignment with the territory business plan. Visit ophthalmologists and optometrists according to established call plans, while independently assessing prescription activity and opportunities for growth. Use available product samples in accordance with FDA guidelines to maximize engagement and impact with the appropriate promotional audience. Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and internal colleagues. Identify customer needs, develop tailored solutions, and take actions that support sales growth within the assigned territory. Plan, prioritize, and manage customer accounts while maintaining effective administrative processes. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to educate customers and support territory objectives. Use CRM and business tools to manage customer activity, territory information, and sales priorities. Travel throughout a large geographic territory and perform field-based responsibilities, including extended driving and occasional overnight travel. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or a related discipline required; a relevant professional certification combined with ophthalmic experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Specialty pharmaceutical sales experience with a demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and drive sales growth within an assigned territory. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders. Strong planning, prioritization, customer account management, and administrative skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities. Strong financial and analytical acumen. Ability to educate and influence customers through effective communication and clinical selling approaches. Experience using Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, or other customer relationship management systems. Ability to travel approximately 25%–50% of the time, including some overnight travel depending on territory size. Must reside within the assigned territory or within a reasonable distance of the territory workload center. Ability to drive throughout a large geographic territory for extended periods, travel by airplane and car within the US, stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform other role-related duties. Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets applicable standards. Eye health industry experience is preferred. Experience with Power BI is preferred. For the Ocular Specialty Representative level, typically 3+ years of specialty pharmaceutical sales experience with a proven record of success, such as goal attainment, awards, or formal recognition. For the Senior Ocular Specialty Representative level, typically 5+ years of specialty pharmaceutical sales experience with a proven record of success, plus demonstrated leadership through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and influencing without authority. Final role level may be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and territory needs. Candidates must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship or transfer of sponsorship is not available. Benefits Starting base salary range of $110,000–$155,000 USD , depending on qualifications and other applicable factors. Eligibility for short-term and/or long-term incentive programs. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Disability and life insurance. 401(k) plan with company match. Tuition reimbursement for select degrees. Company holidays, sick time, floating holidays, and paid vacation. Well-being benefits and additional employee support programs. Remote, field-based work arrangement.
