Full job description
The officer gathers and analyses user requirements, drafts functional specifications, assesses Earth Observation sensors and technologies, plans radar and optical satellite acquisitions, supports quality control and incident management, provides service helpdesk support, performs data analysis and reporting, contributes to training, and participates in the contingency rota. The initial contract is aligned with the Copernicus Contribution Agreement through 31 December 2028 and may be renewable if the agreement continues.
Requirements & qualifications
Requires at least a three-year university diploma plus at least one year of appropriate professional experience. Essential selection criteria include at least two years of full-time relevant experience, experience gathering Earth Observation user requirements and drafting functional specifications, and experience assessing Earth Observation sensors and technologies. Very good English and satisfactory knowledge of another EU official language are required. Applicants must be nationals of an EU Member State, Iceland or Norway and meet the other general eligibility conditions in the notice.
