EMSA is recruiting a Temporary Agent AD6 in Lisbon to work on sustainable maritime alternative fuels, research, technical standards and capacity building.

Full job description

The officer tracks developments in alternative fuels and ship power sources, contributes to EU research projects and analysis, supports standards and certification frameworks, and designs and delivers maritime learning services through the EMSA Academy. The initial contract is three years with possibility of renewal.

Requirements & qualifications

Requires a university degree of four years or more plus at least three years of post-degree experience, or a university degree of at least three years plus at least four years of post-degree experience. Essential criteria include a relevant engineering degree (mechanical, energy/electrical engineering, naval architecture or marine engineering) and at least three years of relevant experience in an eligible professional setting. Very good English plus satisfactory knowledge of another EU official language are required. Applicants must be nationals of an EU Member State, Iceland or Norway.
