ABOUT THE ROLE: The Operational Audit Leader will be responsible for building and leading a risk-based operational audit function that provides independent assurance and business insights beyond SOX compliance. This role will drive enterprise risk coverage and position Internal Audit as a trusted advisor. Specific responsibilities:

• Partner with business leaders to support advisory engagements (e.g., process improvement, system implementation, transformation initiatives)
• Identify and assess operational, financial, compliance, IT, and strategic risks
• Develop and execute a risk-based operational audit plan aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Lead end-to-end operational audits (risk assessment, scoping, fieldwork, reporting) across business functions
• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that improve business performance and risk management
• Build and maintain audit methodologies, tools, and templates for operational audits
• Drive stakeholder engagement and adoption of audit recommendations
• Lead/partner special projects – transformation; M&A etc.
• Adopt AI tools and other automation for Internal audit function, including SOX processes PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: · Visionary leader with a strategic mindset and a passion for leveraging data to drive decision making. · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-tech environment and manage complex problem. Location: Tempe, AZ Office (Onsite 3 days per week) The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $225,000 and $250,000. Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off.
