Operations Engineer, Environmental Health & Safety (Terafab)

OPERATIONS ENGINEER, ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (TERAFAB)         We are building Terafab, a vertically integrated semiconductor factory at an unprecedented scale. The facility houses logic, memory, packaging, test, and lithography mask production under one roof, optimized for rapid iteration and maximum compute density per square foot. Additionally, the campus will include power generation and compute testing facilities that will enable fully optimized development, operation, and testing of the fabrication facility and its products. This position requires a dedicated Operations Engineer who will be able to use their skill, knowledge, and experience to implement tools and processes to further our Environmental Health and Safety programs within our fast-paced work environment that includes operations that have never been attempted before. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement dashboards and tools as needed for the Terafab environmental health and safety department Analyze data related to environmental monitoring, incident reports, and safety performance to identify opportunities for data visualization Collaborate with teams across all sites to solicit feedback on developed systems Provide training sessions and educational materials to employees on awareness of proper usage of safety applications and visualization platforms Collaborate with application software teams and/or contractors to create application improvements and manage software development projects to completion Produce specific metric reports upon request Identify operational challenges within the organization, lead problem formulation, determine root cause, and implement creative and effective solutions Communicate effectively with different levels of the organization, including everything from layout reviews with engineers to presentations with leadership BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:   Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years of experience in data analytics, environmental health and safety project management, and/or environmental health and safety coordination PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:   Proficiency with MS office, SQL databases, Excel and PowerPoint and Power BI Attention to detail and commitment to quality Experience in semiconductor or power generations sectors Ability to multi-task, to manage shifting priorities, and to follow through on projects with minimal supervision Demonstrate innovative and futuristic thinking to drive continuous improvement ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:   Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX locations when requested Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
