Full job description
Every wedding we run is somebody's one shot at this day. A missed detail, a stressed-out couple, a supplier who doesn't show — those aren't just operational hiccups to us, they're someone's memory forever. That's what this role is really about: making sure the people who trust us with their wedding get to actually enjoy it.
Easy Wedding delivers weddings and events across Seychelles, Georgia, and the UAE (Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi). We've grown to around 100 weddings a year, and we're looking for an Operations Manager who wants to help us do that at a bigger scale, without losing the personal care that got us here — someone who cares about the team they lead and the couples they serve just as much as the processes they build.
You'll be the person the team leans on and the couples remember. Not because you did everything yourself, but because you built a team and a way of working that consistently delivers something people won't forget.
What you'll do:
- Lead, train, and genuinely develop the events operations team — people who feel supported, not managed
- Step in for clients when it matters most, especially when things get tense, last-minute, or high-stakes
- Own events end-to-end, from the first brief to the final goodbye, making sure nothing that mattered to the couple got missed
- Build real relationships with suppliers and UAE officials — the kind that make things happen when it counts
- Keep asking "how do we do this better?" and actually change things when the answer isn't good enough
- Hire and onboard the people who'll carry this mission forward as we grow
- Manage budgets and KPIs, but never lose sight of what they're there to protect: the experience
Requirements
You must have:
- 3–7 years of experience managing a team of 2–10 people in the UAE, with a track record of being recognized as a strong people manager (e.g., "manager of the month," praise from former team members)
- 2–5 years running full event cycles in the Gulf — from the sales call through to feedback collection — with direct client contact on small/medium events
- Experience facing international clients, from budget-conscious to VIP (5-star hotel, luxury hospitality, or high-end events background strongly preferred)
- A valid UAE driving license and the ability to commute regularly (essential — travel to sites/events is a regular part of the role)
- Fluent English (Arabic is a plus)
- Comfort working weekends, evenings, and event-day hours
Nice to have:
- Experience selling (not just executing) — you understand the sales side of the business
- A track record of implementing ideas that generated measurable revenue or efficiency gains
- Experience in more than one industry (adaptability)
- Existing relationships with top event planners or suppliers in the region
Who thrives here: Extroverted, organized, empathetic but assertive, calm under pressure, and proactive — someone who takes ownership without needing to be asked twice. If you get a real sense of purpose from making a stranger's most important day go right, and from helping the people on your team grow while you do it, this is your kind of work.
Benefits
- Growth path: Step into a senior leadership role as the company scales past 100 weddings/year, with a clear 30/60/90-day onboarding plan leading to full operational ownership and involvement in strategic planning
- Direct access to leadership: Work hand-in-hand with the co-founders and shape how the operations function is built, not just run
- Multi-destination exposure: Oversee operations spanning the UAE, Seychelles, and Georgia
- Ownership and autonomy: Real authority to challenge and rebuild processes, supplier relationships, and team structure — this isn't a role where you just follow a playbook
- A team worth joining: You'll be stepping into the shoes of a manager who set a strong foundation — and you'll have the mandate to build on it, not start from scratch
- Work that means something: Weddings are one of the few moments in life people remember forever. You'll go home knowing your work made real people's biggest day better — and you'll have built a team that gets to feel that too
