Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Operations Support Specialist based in United States. Join a security-focused technology team supporting infrastructure used to monitor U.S. government networks. You’ll provide hands-on technical support across network monitoring services, cloud applications, and cybersecurity products. The role combines technical troubleshooting, customer support, infrastructure coordination, and operational problem-solving. You’ll collaborate with customers, internal security teams, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and maintain reliable services. You’ll also contribute to hardware configuration, issue replication, testing, and quality assurance for evolving cybersecurity products. The position offers an opportunity to strengthen your expertise across networking, security operations, Linux, and Windows environments. This is a collaborative, service-oriented role where responsive support and technical accuracy directly contribute to stronger cybersecurity operations.
Triage and troubleshoot issues associated with network security device monitoring, determining appropriate resolutions and escalating more complex issues when necessary. Provide timely support for lower-tier technical issues, taking ownership through resolution while ensuring effective escalation when required. Troubleshoot and replicate customer issues involving network monitoring services, cloud-based applications and services, cybersecurity products, and customer environments. Act as a liaison between third-party vendors and customers to troubleshoot technical problems, coordinate device maintenance and outages, and provide general technical support. Assist with the configuration, inventory tracking, and shipment of hardware sensors used to support network monitoring activities. Coordinate the effective transition of action items to and from Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts and other teams, particularly for off-hours and product-related work. Participate in on-call support and respond to critical incidents when required. Provide a positive, responsive, and professional support experience for internal stakeholders and customers. Assist technical teams with issue replication, testing fixes and workarounds, and quality assurance activities for newly developed or enhanced products. Contribute to additional operational and technical responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; additional relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s requirement. 4+ years of experience as a Security Administrator, Network Administrator, or in an equivalent technical capacity, with practical knowledge of network and security operations. Working knowledge of security methodologies, processes, and technical security solutions, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network analysis, and network and security applications. Strong hands-on experience using Linux and Windows command-line environments. Proven ability to troubleshoot applications and technical issues across Windows, Mac, and Linux environments. Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to diagnosing and resolving technical problems. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, internal stakeholders, and technical teams. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Familiarity with Unix operating systems is a plus. Experience with scripting and programming languages or automation tools such as Perl, Python, Ansible, and Bash is beneficial. Knowledge of intrusion detection technologies such as Suricata is a plus. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is beneficial. Benefits Compensation range of $34.47–$56.88 USD , as specified for the position. Full-time, remote work opportunity within the United States. Opportunity to work with network monitoring infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies supporting U.S. government environments. Exposure to network security, cloud-based services, cybersecurity products, and security operations. Hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, product testing, quality assurance, and continuous service improvement. Collaboration with SOC analysts, technical teams, customers, and third-party vendors. Inclusive and collaborative working environment that values diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
