Overview
Rolling six-to-twelve-month unpaid research affiliation for PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and independent social-science researchers, open to Bishkek-based and non-Bishkek residents.
Complete fellowship details
The Associate Research Fellowship supports researchers conducting projects aligned with the OSCE Academy’s research agenda. Fellows receive institutional affiliation, library and online-resource access, can present their research or lecture to students and the public, and are expected/allowed to contribute to the Academy’s Policy Briefs or Research Paper series. The fellowship is explicitly unpaid.
Eligibility requirements
Preferred applicants are PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and/or researchers with a proven publication record in social sciences. Applicants need excellent English and a clearly identified area of expertise or research interest aligned with the Academy’s research agenda. The programme is open to both Bishkek-based and non-Bishkek residents.
Tips for this fellowship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
The official OSCE Academy fellowship programme page states that Associate Research Fellowship applications are accepted on a rolling basis and that the fellowship is unpaid. The dedicated ARF page currently triggers a browser-verification interstitial for direct fetch, but its current indexed official content and the parent Fellowship Programmes page consistently describe the rolling programme; no access-control bypass was attempted.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
