Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Paralegal based in United States. As a Paralegal, you’ll own day-to-day corporate legal operations across due diligence, audits, governance, filings, and outside counsel management. You’ll serve as a central point of coordination for Legal and cross-functional teams, ensuring requests are organized, accurate, and completed on time. The role offers substantial autonomy and is designed for an experienced professional who can manage multiple workstreams with limited day-to-day attorney supervision. You’ll work closely with Finance, IT, Tax, Treasury, People, and other stakeholders to streamline how legal work moves across the organization. Your responsibilities will span established corporate legal processes while providing opportunities to grow into areas such as Board coordination, legal research, and contract work. You’ll also have the opportunity to use AI tools to reduce administrative workload and improve legal operations. This fully remote position is well suited to a highly organized, proactive professional who enjoys ownership, complex coordination, and building scalable processes.

Manage investor due diligence and audit requests from intake through completion, coordinating with internal teams to gather accurate information and meet deadlines. Support corporate governance activities, including preparing and maintaining documentation, supporting corporate filings, and keeping entity records and renewals current. Manage relationships with outside counsel and legal vendors, including invoices, budgets, and day-to-day legal technology tools. Partner with Finance, IT, Tax, Treasury, People, and other functions to improve and streamline legal workflows. Assist attorneys with commercial transactions and compliance matters, exercising sound judgment when working with limited direction. Maintain organized trackers, project plans, and workflows to ensure multiple legal workstreams remain on schedule. Identify opportunities to improve legal processes and adopt AI-assisted workflows that reduce administrative work and increase efficiency. Support the legal team as the function expands into areas such as Board coordination, legal research, and contract drafting and review. Requirements: 7+ years of corporate and transactional experience, ideally including experience within a large corporate legal department or law firm. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Experience with corporate transactions, due diligence, and compliance. Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding, deadline-driven environment. Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships, including law firm billing. Excellent communication, research, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate upcoming deadlines and requirements without extensive supervision. Comfortable working independently alongside attorneys and able to identify when issues require legal guidance. Familiarity with AI tools and a genuine interest in using emerging technology to improve legal operations. Experience in financial services is preferred. Experience negotiating commercial contracts is a plus. Experience managing a corporate intellectual property portfolio is a plus. Must be able to work fully remotely within the Continental United States, with periodic business travel and attendance at company gatherings. Residence in the Greater Richmond, Virginia area is preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States without new employment sponsorship. Benefits: Annual full-time starting base salary of $95,000–$124,000. Eligibility for additional compensation through annual incentive and equity programs. Remote-first work environment. Paid time off. 401(k) plan with employer match. Monthly wellness stipend. Medical, dental, and vision insurance options. Disability coverage. Paid parental leave. Flexible spending accounts for childcare and healthcare. Life insurance. Opportunities to expand responsibilities as the Legal function grows. Opportunity to work across Legal, Finance, IT, Tax, Treasury, and People functions. Periodic travel and company gatherings that support connection within a remote-first environment.
