The scholarship supports full-time postgraduate study at an approved international university. The current 2027 advert is open from 24 August to 24 September 2026. The official general conditions allow any field of study and prefer Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh, St Andrews or Trinity College Dublin, although another suitable international institution may be approved.
Eligibility requirements
Available to women graduates for postgraduate study. Selection is based on academic merit plus wider intellectual and personal qualities. Preference is given to applicants of South African descent and to English-speaking applicants or those proficient in English for tertiary study; financial circumstances may also be considered. The award is subject to acceptance by the chosen university.
