Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be age 30 or younger as of October 29, 2026; qualify as a New American under the program's current immigrant/child-of-immigrants rules; and be pursuing or planning full-time graduate or professional study at an accredited institution in the United States for 2027–2028. Applicants already enrolled in the degree they seek funding for must not have started a third or subsequent year of that program by the deadline. Executive programs, joint bachelor's/master's programs awarding both degrees simultaneously, certificate/post-baccalaureate programs, non-U.S. graduate programs and non-accredited programs are ineligible.
Tips for this fellowship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
