As a People Business Partner, you act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, aligning People strategy with business goals. You will play a key role in organizational design, change management, and driving initiatives that support engagement and retention. Working in an international environment, you ensure compliance with German labor law while enabling effective and fair people decisions. This role combines strategic partnership with hands-on operational execution across the employee lifecycle. It is an opportunity to shape culture, improve processes, and contribute to a modern, data-driven People function.
Advise leaders and employees on HR policies, practices, and employee relations topics Ensure compliance with German labor law and collaborate with the Works Council Provide guidance on employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent handling Support organizational design, restructuring, and change initiatives Drive performance management processes, including review cycles and enablement Partner on talent reviews, succession planning, and workforce planning Support engagement initiatives, including surveys and action planning Collaborate on People projects and continuous improvement initiatives Identify and drive process improvements, including digitalization and automation
Degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of experience in People Business Partner or senior HR roles Strong knowledge of German labor law, works constitution, and co-determination Strong expertise in works council relations (5+ years): leading negotiations with works councils, conducting formal hearings, negotiating works agreements (BVs) and representing the company Experience working in international and matrix organizations Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable recommendations Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and Microsoft Office tools Interest in digitalization, automation, and AI in HR processes Fluent in German and business fluent in English
