PEOPLE & CULTURE Rocket Lab’s People & Culture team is responsible for looking after our most valuable asset: our people. Across our global teams, the People & Culture team supports our people and departments across recruitment, new staff orientation, compensation, learning and development. They make sure our growing and diverse global team is supported and capable of delivering our projects and customer’s missions, and they’re responsible for supporting their development, nurturing their skills and talent, and retaining the world-class people already on our team. PEOPLE & CULTURE COORDINATOR Based on-site at Rocket Lab's Albuquerque, NM Facility, the People and Culture Coordinator will provide comprehensive support in various human resources functions including general employee support, event planning/scheduling, administrative duties within HRIS and other systems, people data management, onboarding support and presenting, mail management, personnel file management including confidential information, and other administrative tasks and projects as needed. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and service-oriented operation of the People & Culture department initiatives. WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO Support the day-to-day administration of People & Culture programs, processes, systems and employee records. Coordinate onboarding activities from offer acceptance through orientation and monitor for completion, including system setup, welcome communications, and new hire materials. Prepare new hire paperwork, including scanning documents and creating organized, electronic personnel files. Present the P&C segment of the New Hire Orientation every Monday, covering topics such as company history, policies and procedures, while coordinating the orientation to ensure it stays on track and provides new employees with an engaging and positive experience. Complete employment verifications (verbal and written). Maintain and keep inventory of new hire merchandise Organize and distribute launch patches to the team. Manage employee anniversary program. Prepare termination paperwork and manage active and terminated employee records. Assist with planning and supporting company events. Understand policies in order to address employee inquiries and escalate to appropriate P&C team members when necessary. Manage 60-day new hire reviews to ensure timely completion. Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and take notes/minutes during meetings as needed. Order office supplies, nameplates, business cards, and snacks. Handle incoming/outgoing mail and prepare shipments (e.g., FedEx). Utilize office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create and update documents, presentations, and forms. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned. YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma/GED 2+ years of related experience in a human resources or office administrator role Computer experience with programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related field Proficient with ADP and/or Workday Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize work Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.
