Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a People Operations Coordinator (Benefits & Leave) based in United States. This remote role focuses on benefits administration and leave management across a growing, globally distributed workforce. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees navigating benefits, enrollment, and different types of leave. The position combines hands-on administration, employee support, compliance, vendor management, and HRIS data accuracy. You will take ownership of annual open enrollment and create clear educational resources that help employees make informed use of their benefits. The role also offers an opportunity to improve processes and build scalable People Operations practices across multiple countries. You will collaborate closely with People Operations, Finance, payroll, benefits providers, and other internal partners. This is a high-impact opportunity to develop deep subject-matter expertise while shaping the employee experience as the organization continues to scale.
Own end-to-end administration of U.S. and global benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and voluntary plans across the U.S., UK, Canada, and EOR-supported markets, from new-hire enrollment through termination. Maintain accurate and timely benefits information within the HRIS and ensure enrollment and eligibility data remains consistent across relevant systems and payroll processes. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, helping employees understand plan options, resolve issues, and navigate their benefits effectively. Manage relationships with benefits providers, including billing accuracy, contract compliance, issue resolution, and service quality. Manage leave processes for U.S. and international employees, including administration of the leave management system and hands-on guidance throughout statutory, state, and FMLA leave, as well as short- and long-term disability. Lead the annual open enrollment process from planning and administration through employee communications, education, and presentations designed to improve benefits understanding and utilization. Create clear, engaging learning materials and resources that help employees understand and make effective use of their benefits. Partner with Finance and payroll to strengthen HRIS processes, conduct regular benefits data audits, and maintain accurate and compliant leave and enrollment information across U.S. and international payroll. Contribute to broader People Operations initiatives related to employee engagement, retention, and development, ensuring benefits are integrated into wider people strategies. Help develop and improve scalable benefits and leave processes as the organization expands across markets. Requirements: Hands-on experience administering multiple employee benefit plans, with strong U.S. benefits experience as a foundation and exposure to global benefits. Direct experience managing state-level parental leave, FMLA, or Paid Family Leave (PFL) documentation and supporting employees throughout leave processes. Experience working with an HRIS; experience with Rippling is preferred. Strong employee-facing communication skills, with the confidence and approachability to serve as a trusted resource for benefits and leave questions. Mature, empathetic, and discreet approach to handling sensitive employee and leave-related conversations. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate benefits, enrollment, and leave data. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners. Experience working across multiple countries and knowledge of statutory leave requirements in the UK, Australia, and Canada are valued. Experience managing benefits through acquisitions, including COBRA scenarios, is a plus. EOR experience or specific knowledge of Quebec benefits is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship; this role is not eligible for sponsorship. Benefits: Remote position based in the United States. On-target earnings of $75,000–$95,000, with final compensation determined by experience, skills, and interview performance. Opportunity to own and shape a specialized People Operations function as it scales globally. Exposure to U.S. and international benefits, leave programs, HRIS administration, and EOR-supported markets. Opportunity to develop deep subject-matter expertise in benefits and leave administration. Meaningful involvement in employee engagement, retention, development, and broader People Operations initiatives. Collaborative, globally distributed working environment. Opportunity to build scalable processes and directly influence the employee experience.
