Full job description

The People Team at Asana works to enable all Asanas to achieve our goals as a company in a way that is consistent with our values. We focus on recruiting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that everyone can thrive, grow, and make a meaningful impact. Our work supports Asana’s broader mission: to help humanity thrive by enabling all teams to collaborate seamlessly and effectively. As a People Partner, you will operate as a true business leader, bringing organizational strategy, change leadership, and deep consulting acumen to shape talent transformation agendas at the functional leadership level. In this role you will support AMER Sales team and CMO. This role is based in our Chicago office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements. What you’ll achieve Drive strategic thought partnership by building and implementing department-level talent strategy initiatives that align directly with business outcomes. Navigate ambiguity to identify root issues in complex situations, presenting findings and socializing change with clarity to senior stakeholders. Lead change management by partnering with senior leaders to develop scalable change strategies, proactively planning for contingencies and championing the vision through effective storytelling. Consult and advise functional leads as a trusted advisor, leading complex people situations and supporting leaders in building their own capability. Leverage data literacy to interpret complex people data to identify trends, translate findings into actionable decisions, and champion a data-driven culture. Influence at scale by actively participating in business headcount and strategic planning forums as the essential "people voice." About you Typically bring 6-8 years of HR experience with a demonstrated track record as a strategic HR Business Partner or Organizational Consultant. A recognized subject matter expert who has successfully navigated large-scale organizational change and influences effectively without authority. A versatile communicator who is equally comfortable diving into a complex spreadsheet as they are leading a "C-suite" conversation. Independent problem solver with a proven ability to manage large, complex projects across functional and regional boundaries with minimal direction. Collaborative partner who proactively seeks partnership with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure recommendations are holistic and data-backed. Analytic mindset with a commitment to identifying and mitigating potential biases in data and decision-making. Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making. M&A experience is preferred but not required. At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply. What we’ll offer Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $158,000 - $180,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
