This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Cientista de Dados (GenAI/ML) - Sênior based in Brazil. This is a senior-level opportunity for a data and AI professional who wants to work across strategic projects and help turn complex business challenges into intelligent solutions. You will operate at the intersection of data science, machine learning, generative AI, software engineering, and business strategy. The role spans the complete AI solution lifecycle, from problem discovery and architecture through development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, data engineers, and technology teams to identify high-value opportunities for AI adoption. Your work will include predictive models, GenAI and LLM applications, cloud-based solutions, and scalable MLOps practices. You’ll work with technologies such as Python, Azure, Databricks, MLflow, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines in a modern cloud environment. As a senior technical reference, you’ll help shape architecture, technology choices, engineering standards, and the evolution of advanced analytics initiatives.

Act as a cross-functional technical reference across strategic projects, supporting different areas in identifying and developing AI-driven solutions. Partner with project managers, business teams, data engineering, and technology stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into actionable technical solutions. Analyze project backlogs and identify opportunities to apply Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and predictive modeling. Contribute to technical solution definition, including architecture design, technology selection, and identification of the most appropriate models and approaches. Develop Machine Learning, predictive analytics, and Generative AI solutions using robust engineering practices. Build AI applications and components with Python, applying software engineering principles to ensure maintainability and scalability. Develop and integrate GenAI and LLM-based applications using cloud AI services and resources across Azure and Databricks. Perform exploratory data analysis, data preparation, hypothesis definition, model training, evaluation, and continuous model improvement. Deploy AI models and applications to cloud environments and support their evolution in production. Build and improve Machine Learning and MLOps pipelines covering development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Work with Azure, Databricks, MLflow, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and related technologies. Contribute to the definition and evolution of data and AI solution architectures, APIs, and system integrations. Ensure high standards for development, version control, documentation, testing, maintenance, and production reliability. Stay current with emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and tools, identifying relevant opportunities for their application. Serve as a technical reference for Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, and Generative AI initiatives. Requirements Proven professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Engineering, or a closely related field. Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL. Demonstrated experience developing Machine Learning and predictive models. Practical experience with Generative AI and LLMs, preferably in enterprise or business applications. Hands-on experience with Azure and Databricks. Solid knowledge of MLOps practices, including MLflow, Docker, model deployment, pipelines, and production monitoring. Experience applying software engineering practices to data and AI solutions. Knowledge of solution architecture, APIs, system integration, and application development. Experience across the full AI solution lifecycle, from problem definition and data analysis through modeling, development, testing, deployment, and production monitoring. Familiarity with Machine Learning libraries and frameworks such as Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent technologies. Experience with CI/CD environments, Git, and code versioning. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and the autonomy expected of a senior professional. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Preferred experience includes Azure AI/Azure AI Studio, advanced Databricks, GenAI/LLM application development, Deep Learning, time-series modeling, system optimization, Feature Store, and Model Serving. Experience in industrial, mining, or metallurgical environments is a plus. Knowledge of IoT technologies such as MQTT, LoRa, or OPC UA is an advantage. Microsoft DP-100, Databricks Machine Learning Associate, or related certifications are considered a plus. Benefits PJ contractor engagement.
