Summary:
The Picker is responsible for accurately locating, selecting, and preparing products for shipment based on customer orders. This role ensures orders are picked efficiently, and in a timely manner while maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean, organized warehouse.
Requirements
- Print and sort customer orders each day.
- Pick customer orders accurately using pick tickets, scanners, or warehouse management systems.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and product condition before staging orders.
- Stage completed orders for packing and shipping.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Restock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or shortages to management.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as authorized. (Training provided)
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse processes.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, packing, and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, shipping, and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Any other tasks/duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, order picking, or distribution experience preferred.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret pick tickets, work orders, and product information.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn warehouse management systems and scanning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to order accuracy and inventory integrity.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to assist in other warehouse functions as business needs require.
- Consistently meet productivity and accuracy expectations while following established warehouse procedures.
- Comply with all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. (Training provided)
