About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Planning Engineer (MEP) to join our project team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of MEP works for high-rise building projects. The role requires strong expertise in project controls, resource planning, and progress monitoring to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for MEP works using Primavera.
  • Prepare baseline programs, recovery schedules, and look-ahead plans in line with project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, risks, and bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and project performance analyses.
  • Track manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity against planned targets.
  • Conduct schedule variance analysis and recommend corrective actions where required.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to support planning activities.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets, resource histograms, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Support claims preparation related to extensions of time (EOT), delays, and variations.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide planning updates to management.
  • Ensure all planning activities comply with company standards and project requirements.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) – Mandatory.

Experience

  • 3 to 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the construction industry.
  • Mandatory experience working on high-rise building projects.
  • Experience in MEP planning and coordination for residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 – Mandatory.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD – Mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and project control techniques.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze project schedules, resource plans, and progress reports.
  • Good understanding of construction methodologies and MEP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
