Job Description:
Planning Engineer
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planning Engineer to join our team. In this role you will lead planning, scheduling and progress control activities for major infrastructure / utility works, including programme reporting and time-related claims/EOT support.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review and support approval of contractor baseline and updated programmes in line with contract conditions and Parsons practices.
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (multi-package), monitor interdependencies, and validate resource/schedule feasibility.
- Analyze progress updates, identify delays / slippage and critical events, recommend mitigation / corrective actions and changes / variations.
- Prepare weekly / monthly progress reports, programme analysis, dashboards and presentations against key milestones.
- Support claims/EOT assessments using delay analysis methods (e.g., TIA, window analysis) and maintain contemporaneous records and trackers/logs.
- Coordinate with stakeholders through progress/coordination meetings; support responses to contractor notices and issue schedule performance notices where required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling relevant Infrastructure / Utility projects.
- Strong Primavera scheduling capability.
- Proven experience supporting claims/EOT and delay analysis.
- Excellent Communication and Reporting skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
- Consultant/CS/PMC experience preferred.
