Job Objective

Lead and oversee all post-award contract management, administration, and commercial activities for major offshore engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, ensuring full compliance with ADNOC standards while safeguarding the client’s commercial and contractual interests.

Key Responsibilities

Major Projects Contract Administration

  • Lead post‑award contract administration activities, ensuring contractual compliance and proactive management of obligations, variations, claims, and correspondence.
  • Manage claims, variations, dispute avoidance, and negotiations, ensuring timely resolution and optimization of cost and schedule impacts.
  • Develop and communicate post‑award contract administration strategies to cross‑functional project teams and senior management.
  • Oversee contract close‑out activities, including final accounts, settlement of claims, and contractual deliverables upon project completion.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent contractual communications, maintaining records in accordance with governance and audit requirements.

Leadership & Governance

  • Provide clear commercial direction and leadership to commercial and contract management teams across multiple project interfaces.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve procedures governing tendering and contract administration processes.
  • Coach and mentor team members, fostering professional development, accountability, and high performance.
  • Promote a result‑oriented and solutions‑focused culture, ensuring decisions are commercially sound and aligned with project objectives.
  • Drive long‑term improvements in contract management practices, incorporating lessons learned and best industry practices.

Risk, Compliance & Performance Management

  • Identify, assess, and manage commercial and contractual risks, ensuring early intervention and mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address performance shortfalls, disputes, or deviations from agreed contractual terms.
  • Support senior management with strategic commercial advice and informed decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.

Expected:

  • BS degree in engineering or Equivalent
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in contract management for major oil & gas, energy, infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in both pre‑award tender management and post‑award contract administration.
  • Strong background in managing high‑value EPC / EPCM contracts and complex claims negotiations.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing out contracts with optimized commercial outcomes.
  • Candidates with experience in dispute avoidance, claims management, and claims negotiation will be prioritized for this role.
