Full job description
Assists the Chief of Police in supervising law-enforcement activities, plans and evaluates a major component of the Division of Security and Investigation, instructs new officers on policies and investigative techniques, studies operational methods and problems, recommends improvements and represents the Chief at meetings and official functions. The listed starting rate is PL 34/1 at US$779.30 biweekly plus US$40 COLA.
Requirements & qualifications
Requires a college or university degree in criminal justice or a related field, three years of police-work experience, and successful completion of Police Supervisory Phase I and II training through the FSM Public Safety Academy. Qualified FSM citizens receive first priority; other Micronesians and U.S. citizens may be considered if no qualified FSM citizen is available.
