PolicyCenter Sr. Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PolicyCenter Sr. Developer based in India. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development, enhancement, and ongoing support of Guidewire PolicyCenter applications in a fully remote environment. You will take ownership of complex configuration, integration, customization, and enhancement activities across the platform. A key part of the role is ensuring reliable production performance through structured incident analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution. You will apply Guidewire best practices throughout the software development lifecycle while delivering scalable and maintainable solutions. Experience across additional Guidewire platforms can broaden your impact and technical scope. The position is suited to an experienced developer who can work independently and contribute to long-term application initiatives.

You will be responsible for developing, configuring, enhancing, integrating, and supporting Guidewire PolicyCenter applications. The role combines hands-on technical delivery with production support and requires strong attention to quality, maintainability, and adherence to established development practices. Develop and enhance applications using Guidewire PolicyCenter. Configure PolicyCenter to meet functional and technical requirements. Design and implement integrations with PolicyCenter and related systems. Develop customizations and enhancements while maintaining scalable and maintainable solutions. Provide production support for PolicyCenter applications. Analyze incidents, troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate resolutions. Support the ongoing stability, reliability, and performance of PolicyCenter applications. Apply Guidewire best practices across development, configuration, integration, and customization activities. Follow established software development lifecycle processes and standards. Collaborate with relevant technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Contribute to long-term application improvements and technical initiatives. Requirements The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter development experience, strong technical problem-solving capabilities, and practical expertise across configuration, integrations, customizations, enhancements, and production support. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote setting and applying sound engineering practices throughout the application lifecycle. Minimum 8 years of hands-on development experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter. Strong experience with PolicyCenter configuration. Proven experience developing PolicyCenter integrations. Hands-on experience with PolicyCenter customizations and enhancements. Demonstrated production support experience for PolicyCenter applications. Strong incident analysis, troubleshooting, debugging, and issue-resolution skills. Solid understanding of Guidewire development best practices. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle. Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop practical solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment. Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and/or BillingCenter is highly desirable. Insurance domain experience is a plus, particularly in Personal and Commercial Property. Ability to manage priorities and deliver quality technical work within agreed timelines.
