The 100% fixed-term position works across climate science, policy and society, integrating storylines on financial stability and supply chains, heat and health, and climate tipping points. The first phase is planned for 3.5 years from 1 November 2026 or by agreement, using annual contracts with renewal options. A part-time arrangement such as 80% may be considered in specified circumstances.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants should hold a PhD in climate science, environmental sciences, meteorology or a closely related field, have experience in inter- or transdisciplinary research, and possess very good spoken and written English. Climate modelling, attribution, projections and relevant impact expertise are assets; a Swiss national language is desired.
