Pricing Analyst I

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pricing Analyst I based in India. This is a junior-level opportunity for an analytical professional looking to build expertise in pricing, commercial finance, and business intelligence. You will support pricing activities across client opportunities and existing programs, working with large datasets and financial information. The role combines pricing analysis, financial modeling, reporting, dashboard development, and process automation. You will collaborate with Sales, Finance, Solution Design, Delivery, and HR to turn complex data into clear business insights. You’ll also have opportunities to use automation and approved AI tools to improve recurring workflows and reporting efficiency. Support the preparation of pricing models, quotations, rate cards, and client proposals, including Time and Materials, Fixed Price, and volume-based pricing models. Gather, organize, validate, and reconcile pricing inputs such as headcount, compensation, utilization, expenses, volumes, delivery locations, and other commercial assumptions. Perform scenario, sensitivity, variance, revenue, cost, and margin analyses to assess business and pricing impacts. Review pricing submissions for accuracy, completeness, documentation, and alignment with established approval requirements. Work with large datasets from multiple sources, identifying trends, inconsistencies, data-quality issues, and opportunities for improvement. Support financial reporting covering revenue, costs, headcount, expenses, gross margins, budgets, forecasts, and relevant KPIs. Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and executive summaries using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools. Automate recurring reporting and data-processing activities using Excel, Power Query, SQL, or other approved technologies. Use approved AI productivity tools to support research, documentation, analysis, and workflow improvement while validating outputs before business use. Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Solution Design, Delivery, HR, and other stakeholders to collect information, clarify requirements, communicate assumptions, and resolve discrepancies. Participate in pricing reviews and stakeholder discussions, providing supporting analysis and escalating risks or missing information when necessary. Contribute to continuous improvement across pricing models, reporting processes, data management, automation, and analytical workflows. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, or a related field; relevant internships or graduate experience may also be considered. Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup and conditional formulas, data validation, and basic financial modeling. Experience working with large datasets and consolidating information from multiple sources. Practical experience with Power BI, Tableau, or another data-visualization platform. Familiarity with Power Query, SQL, or similar data-transformation and querying tools. Basic understanding of revenue, costs, margins, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies and maintain accurate analytical outputs. Ability to organize work effectively, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings in a practical and understandable way. Willingness to learn pricing methodologies, commercial models, financial modeling, and reporting automation. Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT is beneficial. Exposure to Python, DAX, VBA, or other automation technologies is a plus. Experience with automated dashboards, recurring management reports, or professional services, technology services, managed services, outsourcing, or project-based pricing is advantageous.
