The current full-proposal stage covers water management, farming systems and the food value chain. Xjenza Malta says Malta-based entities may still join existing consortia at this stage through widening. Malta participants can request up to €500,000 per project; if several Maltese partners join one consortium, their combined funding cannot exceed that cap. PRIMA lists the Stage 2 deadline as 29 September 2026 at 17:00 CET.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be Malta-based entities with an operating base in Malta under the applicable National Rules and participate in an eligible PRIMA consortium. Widening-stage applicants should join an existing eligible consortium and satisfy both PRIMA and national requirements.
