Principal Product Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Product Manager based in Spain. This is a senior individual contributor role with end-to-end ownership of complex product domains within a fast-growing fintech environment. You will define product strategy, shape multi-quarter roadmaps, and drive measurable customer, business, and operational outcomes. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on product execution across areas such as credit, risk, payments, core platforms, and partner integrations. You will work closely with Engineering, Data, Risk, Operations, Legal, and Commercial teams to turn ambiguous challenges into scalable solutions. Success will depend on strong product judgment, rigorous use of data, and the ability to influence decisions across teams without formal authority. You will also manage relationships with external technology and financial partners, from evaluation and integration through ongoing optimization. The position offers significant autonomy and international exposure, with a particular focus on Brazilian market needs, regulation, and fintech dynamics.

Own a core product domain, such as Credit, Risk, Payments, Core Platform, or Partner Integrations, with accountability for customer, business, and operational outcomes. Define and continuously evolve a multi-quarter product strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and scalability needs. Identify, assess, and size opportunities for growth, operational efficiency, and risk reduction using customer insights, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and data. Build and manage relationships with external partners, including credit bureaus, payment networks, data providers, lenders, and other strategic technology partners, from initial evaluation through launch and optimization. Lead the complete product lifecycle, from problem discovery and framing through solution design, delivery, rollout, and post-launch improvement. Develop high-quality product documentation, including PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, enabling Engineering teams to execute independently and efficiently. Own product prioritization, balancing customer value, commercial impact, risk, regulatory constraints, and technical considerations. Partner with Engineering leadership to support predictable delivery, strong technical quality, and long-term platform health. Define product KPIs and success metrics, such as activation, conversion, approval rates, loss rates, fraud, unit economics, and operational efficiency. Use experimentation, analytics, and customer feedback to make informed decisions and continuously improve product performance. Work closely with Data, Risk, and Analytics teams to establish reliable measurement, monitoring, and feedback loops. Act as a strategic product partner to Engineering, Risk, Data, Operations, Legal/Compliance, and Commercial teams, building alignment across different priorities and constraints. Communicate product vision, trade-offs, risks, and progress clearly to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. Develop deep expertise in Brazilian customer needs, behaviors, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics, incorporating these considerations into product decisions. Engage directly with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders when necessary to validate assumptions and solutions. Requirements: 10+ years of professional Product Management experience, including significant experience in fintech, financial services, financial infrastructure, or a closely related environment. Demonstrated ownership of complex, high-impact products operating within regulated or highly controlled environments. Strong experience partnering with Engineering, Data, Risk, and Analytics teams on technically sophisticated products and systems. Proven ability to operate independently, make high-stakes product decisions, and take accountability for measurable outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese. Strong analytical, structured-thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to product decisions. Comfortable navigating ambiguity, rapidly changing priorities, and situations where information may be incomplete. Strong understanding of product strategy, discovery, prioritization, experimentation, and end-to-end delivery. Deep experience within the Brazilian or broader Latin American fintech ecosystem is strongly preferred. Experience with credit products, underwriting, risk decisioning, fraud, collections, or related financial infrastructure is highly valuable. Experience building or managing B2B, platform, API-driven, or partner-facing products is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy beyond an immediate team or individual domain. Experience working across international and cross-functional teams in a remote environment is beneficial. Benefits: Fully remote working environment within Europe.
