This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Software Engineer, macOS/Linux Agents based in the United States. This is a senior individual-contributor opportunity with broad technical influence over next-generation endpoint security technology. You will shape the architecture and technical direction of macOS and Linux agent capabilities while remaining deeply hands-on in implementation. The role combines systems engineering, cybersecurity, software architecture, and platform-specific development in a highly collaborative environment. You will solve complex problems involving operating-system internals, privileged services, concurrency, security controls, performance, and reliability. You will translate customer and product needs into practical engineering strategies and help deliver secure, scalable solutions. Beyond your own technical contributions, you will mentor engineers, raise engineering standards, and influence decisions across multiple teams. This is an ideal role for an experienced systems engineer who thrives on difficult technical challenges and wants meaningful influence without moving into people management.
