Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Private Equity AI Researcher based in India. This remote role is designed for an investment professional who understands how high-quality IC decks, board materials, and portfolio updates are actually built. You will use your practical experience to create realistic PowerPoint tasks that assess how effectively AI can perform investment-related knowledge work. The role combines private-market expertise with emerging AI evaluation and data concepts. You will define realistic scenarios, produce clear expected outcomes, and establish precise criteria for evaluating AI-generated work. Your investment experience will directly contribute to understanding where AI performs well and where expert judgment remains essential. This is a flexible, contract-based opportunity for professionals who enjoy detail-oriented work and exploring the capabilities and limitations of AI.
Create realistic PowerPoint tasks based on your experience in private equity, growth equity, private credit, or corporate development, including building presentations from source documents, applying corporate templates, rolling decks forward, and making precise edits. Complete each task yourself to establish a clear and accurate expected outcome that can be used as a benchmark. Develop precise yes-or-no evaluation criteria that allow AI-generated outputs to be assessed consistently and objectively. Provide the source files and supporting materials required to complete each task, ensuring all materials are human-authored and appropriately anonymized. Apply your understanding of investment workflows, presentation standards, and professional judgment to identify what constitutes a correct and high-quality deliverable. Participate in onboarding and task walkthroughs, complete assignments within the designated workspace, and respond to revision requests when required. Contribute to broader efforts to evaluate how effectively AI can reproduce complex investment and advisory workflows. Requirements 2+ years of professional experience in private equity, growth equity, private credit, corporate development, or a closely related investment environment. Deep, hands-on PowerPoint expertise, including native charts, tables, corporate templates, investment presentations, and detailed formatting. Practical experience creating or working with IC papers, board materials, portfolio updates, investment decks, or comparable professional presentations. Ability to define precisely what a correct investment presentation should contain and translate that expertise into objective evaluation criteria. Strong written communication skills and the ability to create clear, unambiguous task briefs and rubrics independently. Strong attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy, formatting, consistency, and presentation quality. Curiosity about artificial intelligence and willingness to learn concepts related to AI evaluation and data. Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage structured tasks with limited supervision. Willingness to create task briefs and evaluation rubrics without using AI tools for drafting, rewriting, or polishing. Ability to use only materials you are authorized to share, with confidential employer or client information removed. Successful completion of the onboarding walkthrough and task-based evaluation process is required; completing onboarding does not guarantee an offer. Benefits Fully remote contract opportunity based in India. Flexible opportunity to apply your professional investment expertise to emerging AI applications. Work focused on realistic private-equity and investment workflows rather than purely theoretical AI exercises. Opportunity to contribute to the evaluation of AI capabilities in professional finance and advisory work. Structured onboarding through a group walkthrough and dedicated task workspace. Opportunity to work independently and contribute subject-matter expertise without requiring a traditional full-time office environment.
