This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Process Improvement Specialist/Manager based in the United States. This role leads process improvement initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and service delivery across a public-sector environment. You will analyze existing processes, identify gaps, and design practical future-state workflows aligned with mission objectives. The position brings together process analysis, cross-functional collaboration, change management, and performance measurement. You will work closely with program managers, analysts, IT teams, and field staff to develop scalable solutions. Your work will help improve compliance, accountability, and the effectiveness of mission-critical operations. The role also provides opportunities to promote continuous improvement and mentor teams in proven process improvement practices. This is a fully remote position supporting high-impact public-sector initiatives.
As a Process Improvement Specialist/Manager, you will lead structured improvement efforts, facilitate collaboration across teams, and help translate operational insights into measurable results. Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing current-state operations, identifying inefficiencies and gaps, and designing future-state workflows. Facilitate collaboration among program managers, analysts, IT teams, field staff, and other stakeholders to gather insights and develop practical, scalable solutions. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies to improve efficiency, service delivery, and compliance. Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures, process maps, and performance dashboards. Support change management activities by communicating process changes, training stakeholders, and promoting adoption of new practices. Monitor process performance through KPIs, data analysis, and ongoing evaluation to ensure improvements remain aligned with strategic goals. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop recommendations based on operational and performance data. Mentor teams on process improvement tools, methodologies, and best practices. Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure redesigned processes remain aligned with applicable federal regulations, policies, and data governance standards. Requirements The ideal candidate combines process improvement expertise with strong analytical, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management capabilities. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in process improvement, operations management, or organizational development. Proven experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives within large or complex organizations. Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to analyze complex systems, identify improvement opportunities, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Experience working within or supporting federal agencies or similar mission-driven environments. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse functional and technical teams. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a focus on measurable outcomes. Lean Six Sigma certification at the Green Belt level or higher is preferred. Experience with process modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or ARIS is preferred. Experience supporting digital transformation or modernization initiatives in the public sector is an advantage. U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Benefits Annual salary of $85,000 . Full-time, fully remote position. Comprehensive benefits package.
