ABOUT THE ROLE
Full job description
ABOUT THE ROLE This is a high-impact product design role at a fast-growing consumer EdTech platform, working directly with C-level leadership to shape AI-native learning experiences for millions of students. You will own product areas end to end, setting the quality bar across the entire product and helping build the design practice from the ground up. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own complete product areas from conception through delivery, shipping ideas to a massive student audience within days alongside engineering and leadership.
- Raise the craft bar across every surface students see and interact with, through exceptional UI and motion design.
- Build and scale a design system from scratch, establishing components, references, and review standards that make quality easy to replicate at speed.
- Pioneer AI-native design by developing AI-assisted workflows and product experiences that change how the team researches, ideates, and ships.
- Set the standard for details that users feel but cannot name, making your work the team's reference point for quality. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong product design craft and shipped, metrics-moving consumer work; portfolio quality matters more than years of experience.
- Meaningful B2C or consumer product design experience with a bias toward shipping over presenting.
- Several years of experience with the ability to guide more junior designers.
- Active, enthusiastic use of AI tools across prototyping, research, and shipping workflows.
- Systems thinking applied to scaling quality across a product, whether through code-first design systems, AI-powered reviews, or other high-leverage approaches.
- Ability to simplify complex user journeys into experiences that feel obvious and intuitive.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment where prototypes beat decks and experiments beat debate.
- A builder mentality; bonus for side projects shipped end to end or experience opening a pull request.
- Direct, team-first communication style with no ego around ownership. LOCATION On-site in Berlin, Germany. This role is not available remotely. Visa sponsorship is not available.
