ABOUT THE ROLE
Full job description
ABOUT THE ROLE This is a high-impact product design role at a fast-growing consumer EdTech platform used by tens of millions of students worldwide. You will sit at the center of the product, working directly with engineering and senior leadership to define and ship AI-native learning experiences. Your work will set the quality bar across the entire product. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own complete product areas from conception through delivery, shipping to millions of users in tight cycles.
- Raise the craft standard across every touchpoint, including UI quality, motion design, and interaction detail.
- Build and scale a design system from the ground up, with curated components and sharp review processes that make quality easy to replicate.
- Pioneer AI-native design by developing AI-assisted workflows and product experiences that change how the team researches, ideates, and ships.
- Establish a visual and interaction reference point that the broader team can use to calibrate quality. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Several years of product design experience with a portfolio that demonstrates shipped B2C or consumer product work, ideally for younger or mobile-first audiences.
- Visually convincing consumer-product design craft, where details drive the work, not just strategy or research.
- Hands-on experience in fast-moving startup environments, with a clear bias toward prototyping and shipping over lengthy process.
- Proven ability to scale quality across a product through code-first design systems or AI-powered design reviews.
- Confident use of AI tools as a multiplier across prototyping, research, and delivery.
- Ability to simplify complex user journeys into experiences that feel obvious.
- Collaborative, direct communicator who gives honest feedback and has no interest in territorial design ownership.
- Bonus: shipped a side project end to end, or has opened a pull or merge request.
- Must be able to work on-site in Berlin; visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in Berlin, Germany. This role is not available on a remote basis. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
