What You'll Get to Do

Join a team where precision meets purpose. As a Production Engineer, you are the trusted link between what a customer ordered & what actually gets built. You'll take complex glass, glazing & architectural metal orders and turn them into precise, actionable instructions that manufacturing, procurement & project management can execute with confidence. This is a position that's deeply respected across the company because getting it right protects schedules, budgets & customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Build deep product & accessory expertise you'll rely on to guide every order

  • Interpret customer contracts & enter orders into our engineering database with precision

  • Produce verification documents & technical drawings (breakform, fabrication & glass) that manufacturing & purchasing depend on

  • Partner with Project Management on order questions & customer reviews, keeping everyone informed

  • Source competitive quotes through procurement & vendor partners for panels, breakform & security screens

  • Compare quoted vs. ordered jobs, flag variances & drive change orders alongside Sales & Project Management

  • Maintain accurate records that support Finance & Accounting

  • Pitch in wherever needed across Process Engineering, because this team grows together

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds & career paths who bring curiosity, precision & a collaborative spirit.

You'll thrive here if you have:

  • An associate's degree in a technical field (like Engineering) is a plus, or equivalent hands-on experience in order processing, drafting or project administration

  • Strong math, keyboarding & attention-to-detail skills (precision is critical)

  • Comfort reading technical, product & construction drawings

  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access & CAD (AutoCAD experience is a strong plus)

  • Prefer experience in the fenestration, glass or architectural metals industry

  • Familiarity with SoftTech V6 or similar order-entry/management systems

  • The ability to learn fast & retain a high volume of technical detail

Position Pay Range

$50,000—$65,000 USD

  • Benefits that benefit you – industry competitive benefits at the lowest cost to the employee

  • Work-life balance – PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can choose

  • Compensation that rewards your hard work – A pay-for-performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonuses

  • Training – We will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed
