Product Manager, Clearing Systems

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Clearing Systems based in United States. This is a senior product role focused on building and scaling critical brokerage and clearing infrastructure. You’ll own products spanning clearing, custody, ledgers, settlements, asset movement, and multi-currency capabilities. The role combines deep financial-market expertise with technical product leadership in a highly regulated environment. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, finance, treasury, compliance, legal, risk, and product teams. Your work will help support expansion across asset classes, account types, markets, currencies, and institutional partners. You’ll translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into scalable systems and clear product strategies. Define the long-term product and system architecture for clearing infrastructure, covering accounts, positions, balances, ledgers, journals, settlements, stock records, and regulatory books and records. Lead the design and evolution of multi-currency cash and position systems supporting equities, FX, fractional trading, options, bonds, Treasuries, fixed income, mutual funds, and additional asset classes. Partner with engineering teams to prototype and build scalable clearing services, reducing reliance on third-party service bureau workflows where appropriate. Translate complex clearing, custody, settlement, and regulatory requirements into actionable product requirements and scalable technical solutions. Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, treasury, compliance, legal, risk, engineering, and product teams to ensure systems are scalable, controlled, and ready for regulatory scrutiny. Drive the evolution of clearing capabilities as the business expands into new markets, asset classes, currencies, account structures, and partner models. Establish product priorities, make informed trade-offs across risk, operational efficiency, technical feasibility, capital, time, and budget, and guide execution through production. Help solve complex problems involving reconciliation, stock records, custody, ledgers, settlements, corporate actions, margin, asset transfers, and regulatory controls. Lead and influence senior stakeholders and technical teams in a high-growth, regulated financial-services environment. Requirements 5+ years of experience in Product Management, technical program management, or engineering focused on brokerage, clearing, post-trade, or related financial infrastructure. 10+ years of experience across brokerage, clearing, custody, prime brokerage, trading infrastructure, financial market infrastructure, or capital markets technology. Demonstrated expertise in at least one major clearing domain, such as settlement and stock records, books and records, corporate actions, margin, ACATS, or DTCC processing. Strong technical capabilities, with the ability to work directly with engineers and translate complex domain requirements into scalable system designs. Experience operating in regulated broker-dealer environments and collaborating effectively with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Engineering. Strong product judgment and the ability to balance regulatory risk, operational efficiency, technical feasibility, capital allocation, timelines, and budget. Experience leading senior teams and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions in a fast-growing organization. Ability to navigate ambiguity, structure complex problems, and move initiatives from concept and architecture through implementation. Experience with global brokerage expansion, international equities, FX, local-market custody, omnibus models, sub-ledgers, or currency controls is valuable. Familiarity with financial ledgers, clearing architecture, custody systems, asset movement, and reconciliation processes is advantageous. Experience with AI-assisted product workflows and tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or custom agents is a plus. Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and technical concepts clearly. Benefits Competitive salary. Stock options.
