Full job description

A Product Manager, Terminology Platform helps define and execute the product strategy for IMO’s foundational terminology platform, including the Knowledge Graph, Reference Data Sets, external content partnerships, and the broader platform capabilities. You will translate market needs, customer commitments, clinical knowledge strategy, and operational priorities into clear roadmaps, requirements, and measurable outcomes. This role requires the ability to connect clinical terminology expertise with product strategy, partner closely across Product, Marketing, Engineering, Legal, Growth, and Customer teams, and drive work that improves content expansion, interoperability, AI-enablement, and customer value.

Drive product strategy and roadmap execution for the Terminology Platform, including the Knowledge Graph, content expansion, Reference Data Sets, and related foundational terminology capabilities. Partner with Product leadership to shape the broader terminology platform vision, including migration toward a scalable, graph-based knowledge management model that supports Provider, Health Tech, Payer, and Life Sciences use cases. Own and prioritize content expansion roadmaps, including lab strategy, continuous delivery, and commercialization readiness for high-impact clinical domains. Translate customer, market, and internal stakeholder needs into clear business cases, product requirements, and user stories that guide cross-functional teams. Help advance Knowledge Acceleration goals by improving content creation velocity, quality measurement, human-in-the-loop review models, and AI-assisted terminology workflows. Coordinate external content and vendor strategy, including source prioritization, licensing readiness, vendor relationship management, ingestion planning, and alignment to market needs. Collaborate with Legal, Clinical Informatics, Mapping, Engineering, Architecture, Growth, Support, and Customer teams to resolve dependencies, manage trade-offs, and keep complex initiatives moving forward. Use data, customer feedback, and coverage/quality signals to identify terminology gaps, prioritize investments, and demonstrate business and customer impact. Support commercialization and go-to-market readiness by articulating product positioning, customer value, release impacts, and sales enablement needs for terminology platform capabilities. Guide cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle amid ambiguity, evolving priorities, regulatory/licensing constraints, and competing business needs.

5+ years of experience working with clinical terminology, healthcare data, product development, product management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Clinical Informatics. Strong healthcare domain knowledge, with experience in clinical terminology, coding systems, interoperability standards, or structured healthcare data. Working knowledge of major clinical code systems and vocabularies, such as CPT, LOINC, SNOMED CT, ICD-10, RxNorm, HCPCS, CDT, DSM, or related content sources. Ability to translate complex customer, clinical, technical, or business needs into product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and measurable outcomes. Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, Clinical Informatics, Mapping, Data Science, Legal, Sales, Growth, Support, or Customer Success. Strong analytical and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance near-term execution, long-term platform strategy, customer commitments, business impact, and operational feasibility. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex clinical, technical, and product concepts clearly to executive, technical, clinical, and commercial audiences. Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site team collaboration.

Familiarity with knowledge graphs, ontology models, graph-based data structures, AI-assisted workflows, APIs, or terminology platform architecture. Experience with third-party content, licensing, vendor management, reference data sets, crosswalks, or content ingestion workflows.
