Professional Education Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Professional Education Manager based in the United States. This newly created role within Global Medical Affairs will lead the development and delivery of physician education programs supporting advances in structural heart care. You will shape educational strategies that translate complex cardiovascular science and clinical evidence into practical learning experiences for healthcare professionals. The role encompasses physician faculty engagement, Speakers Bureau operations, major congress education, and digital learning initiatives. You will work closely with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Compliance, and leading physician experts across North America and Europe. Your work will help ensure educational programs are scientifically rigorous, engaging, and aligned with applicable regulatory requirements. Develop deep scientific expertise in structural heart therapies, valve hemodynamics, flow restoration science, clinical evidence, and relevant clinical trials, and apply this knowledge to professional education programs. Create and maintain healthcare professional educational content aligned with Medical Affairs evidence strategies, internal review processes, and applicable regulatory requirements. Prepare physician faculty and healthcare professional presenters to communicate clinical evidence effectively at congresses, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and other educational programs. Manage Speakers Bureau operations, including faculty identification and coordination, scheduling, presentation review, speaker preparation, contracting support, and post-program follow-up. Build productive relationships with physician faculty and collaborate with Medical Affairs leadership to identify educational needs and appropriate speakers. Coordinate with Compliance and internal stakeholders on contracts, fair market value assessments, approvals, documentation, transparency reporting, and other engagement requirements. Lead professional education activities at major cardiovascular congresses, managing symposia, workshops, case-based education, speaker assignments, content timelines, and overall program readiness. Develop and maintain the annual Professional Education Plan, defining learning objectives, target audiences, program formats, digital priorities, and congress activities. Design educational modules covering topics such as valve hemodynamics, flow restoration, patient–prosthesis mismatch, clinical trial design, and interpretation of clinical evidence. Expand digital education through webinars, e-learning, online case libraries, and other virtual learning formats. Adapt educational programs for regional audiences and ensure content reflects the applicable regulatory status in each market. Track program reach, faculty engagement, participant feedback, learning outcomes, and overall effectiveness to continuously improve education priorities and programming. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a clinical, life science, or related discipline. 10+ years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, professional education, clinical education, or a related medical device function, including direct responsibility for physician education programs. Experience coordinating physician faculty or speaker programs within a regulated medical device environment. Strong scientific knowledge of cardiovascular medicine and the ability to interpret clinical evidence and discuss valve performance, hemodynamics, and clinical trial design with physician audiences. Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, engaging, and practical educational content. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs, stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines in a global environment. Understanding of healthcare professional engagement compliance, including contracting, fair market value, transparency reporting, and applicable regional industry codes. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to travel approximately 30–40%, including international travel for cardiovascular congresses, faculty engagements, and investigator meetings. An advanced degree such as an MSc, MPH, PhD, PharmD, or MD is preferred. Experience with structural heart therapies or TAVR, including familiarity with measures such as effective orifice area, mean pressure gradient, patient–prosthesis mismatch, and ventricular remodeling, is preferred. Experience managing a physician Speakers Bureau, supporting medical device trials or launch preparation, or developing digital education programs is advantageous. Familiarity with adult learning principles and speaker management, congress planning, or customer relationship management platforms is a plus. Proficiency in an additional European language, particularly French, German, or Dutch, is preferred.
