This is a senior program leadership opportunity supporting strategic healthcare initiatives within a complex, highly matrixed environment. You will provide direction across program design, implementation, governance, operations, process improvement, and service delivery. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on portfolio oversight, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable value and align with organizational priorities. You will work closely with executive sponsors, senior leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to establish objectives, priorities, budgets, and success measures. A key focus will be strengthening governance, operational efficiency, scalability, compliance, and sustainable adoption of new processes and technologies. You will also use data, financial insights, and performance metrics to identify risks, guide decisions, and improve program outcomes. This full-time remote position offers the opportunity to influence healthcare program performance while leading complex initiatives across a regulated industry.
Lead the strategy, design, implementation, delivery, and ongoing operations of assigned healthcare programs and services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable value. Develop and maintain governance structures, frameworks, standards, and best practices that promote consistent, compliant, and effective program execution. Partner with executive sponsors, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to establish program vision, objectives, priorities, milestones, and measurable success criteria. Manage and optimize the overall program portfolio, ensuring initiatives, budgets, resources, and priorities remain aligned with organizational strategy. Provide executive-level reporting and actionable insights on program performance, risks, dependencies, financial considerations, and outcomes to support informed decision-making. Lead financial planning and budget oversight for assigned programs, identifying opportunities to optimize resources and generate cost savings. Drive collaboration across legal, compliance, information technology, and operational teams to maintain governance, quality, and regulatory standards. Lead change management and stakeholder adoption efforts, ensuring new processes, technologies, and operating models are implemented effectively and sustainably. Evaluate program frameworks, performance metrics, workflows, and operating practices to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, scalability, and strategic impact. Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to team members as needed while promoting accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while maintaining focus on quality, deadlines, stakeholder alignment, and business outcomes. Requirements: At least 8 years of progressive program and/or project management experience, with increasing responsibility in a complex, matrixed organization or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. At least 3 years of management or leadership experience. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, governance development, program oversight, and executive stakeholder management. Proven success managing budgets, performance metrics, organizational change, and complex initiatives within highly matrixed or regulated environments. Strong understanding of managed care operations, healthcare delivery systems, or related healthcare industries. Strong operational process improvement and project management capabilities. Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret performance information and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to align diverse groups toward shared goals. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, particularly when working with senior and executive-level stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicable business tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio. PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt, and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred. Experience with claims and provider contract configuration, claims processing, Washington Medicaid, and/or encounter data validation is preferred. Benefits: Annual salary range of $72,370.82–$156,803.45, with actual compensation determined by factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
