Project Manager

Job Overview

As a Project Manager for app launches, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful launch of multiple apps on different platforms. You will be accountable for the entire app launch life cycle, from project initiation to post-launch support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, software development, and app launch processes, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project plans for app launches, including timelines, budgets, resources, and scope, and monitor progress against them throughout the project life cycle.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues related to app launches and develop mitigation strategies as needed.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve goals and provide clear direction and guidance to team members.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure apps are built according to specifications, and manage the quality assurance and testing processes.
• Coordinate with platform partners, such as Apple and Google, to ensure app launches comply with their requirements and guidelines.
• Manage the launch process, including submitting apps to the app stores, managing app updates, and monitoring app reviews and ratings.
• Monitor app performance post-launch and identify opportunities for improvement. Foster a positive team environment and motivate team members to achieve goals.
• Communicate app launch status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner and facilitate discussions and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with project management best practices, standards, and methodologies for app launches.

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful app launches on different platforms.
• Experience managing software development projects and working with development teams.
• Strong understanding of app launch processes, including compliance with platform partner requirements and guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams to achieve app launch goals.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple app launches simultaneously.
• Proficient in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project or similar, and experience with app launch tools, such as App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
