Process and authorize claim payments within the designated authority level. Oversee independent adjusters and monitor adherence to applicable independent adjuster guidelines. Maintain compliance with Department of Insurance regulations and internal claims policies and procedures. Prepare accurate and complete correspondence and communicate with policyholders and other involved parties to obtain missing or additional information. Negotiate settlements promptly, ensuring payments reflect actual covered losses while protecting against invalid or unsupported claims. Collaborate with claims management and legal counsel on claims involving litigation. Requirements: At least 5 years of total claims experience, including a minimum of 2 years handling homeowners' (HO) claims involving losses exceeding $300,000. At least 2 years of experience working for an insurance carrier. A minimum of 2 years of property claims experience, with a strong focus on customer service. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Certification in CEA and Fair Claims Settlement Practices. Strong knowledge of property claims investigation, coverage evaluation, reserving, settlement, and payment processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with policyholders, adjusters, management, and legal professionals. Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Ability to manage complex, high-value claims while maintaining regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and timely resolution. Benefits: Annual compensation of $90,000–$100,000. Opportunity to manage complex, high-value property claims and apply advanced claims expertise. Collaborative exposure to policyholders, independent adjusters, claims leadership, and legal counsel.
