Purchasing Associate, Glass

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Purchasing Administrative support role assists the Purchasing Manager in all aspects related to the procurement and purchasing of stock items and special orders.  The position works closely with the Warehouse manager to ensure accuracy in inventory controls, product availability, and order tracking. Essential Functions Daily duties to include: Loading items into Inventory Maintenance following detailed directions which must be followed step by step Review inventory levels using access reports to issue new Pos for maintaining core inventory levels Review vendor order acknowledgments for accuracy Review vendor’s open orders for updated ETAs’ on backordered product to assist with scheduling Assist in tracking orders for delivery dates Additional duties: Serve as backup when Purchasing Manager is out of the office Pull OTC / Obsolete inventory reports and distribute to help move inventory Assist with inventory adjustments / movements when necessary Assist with reviewing invoices for accuracy when needed.
