With deep experience in partnering with two leading brands in the luxury travel space – Kensington Tours and Travel Edge –  TripArc  has real insight into the needs of tour operators and travel agencies today. TripArc’s  goals are simple. To make our network of over 1400 travel entities more profitable, efficient and help them create truly unique travel for their clients. This is a hybrid position, currently requiring a minimum of two days per week onsite at our office located at 2 Queen St. E in Toronto, ON. THE ROLE We're hiring a QA Lead to build mobile test automation for our travel platform's native app (React Native/Expo). This would start as an individual-contributor role today, with scope and team expected to grow over time. RESPONSIBILITIES Build and own a mobile UI test automation framework using Appium and WebdriverIO with TypeScript, covering iOS and Android. Extend our existing Playwright API test suite to cover backend data sources Set up and manage cloud device testing infrastructure for iOS and Android Define testing processes, regression strategy, and release readiness standards for mobile Work with the mobile development team on testability and quality standards Align mobile testing practices with the broader QA organization Apply testing practices suited to sensitive personal and payment data Use AI tools to support test design, automation, and coverage of AI-assisted app development REQUIREMENTS Must have: 5+ years of experience as QA, Tester, SDET, or similar, with strong expertise in mobile testing Experience building and owning a mobile test automation framework: architecture, CI integration, flaky test mitigation Strong hands-on experience with Appium and WebdriverIO Solid TypeScript proficiency Experience testing REST APIs, ideally with Playwright or similar Experience setting up and using cloud device testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm, or similar) Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or similar CI/CD tooling Experience using AI tools (e.g. Claude) to support test automation work Comfortable working as an individual contributor and primary technical owner Experience testing applications handling sensitive personal or payment data Nice to have: Background in travel technology or complex platform ecosystems Experience testing React Native applications COMPENSATION We provide a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. Employees have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and compensation tied to business and individual performance. The expected base salary range for this position is: $100,000 to $120,000 CAD .
