Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager based in United States. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll focus on reviewing and strengthening the quality of retirement plan administration work produced by other team members. You’ll apply deep expertise in nondiscrimination testing, compliance, and regulatory requirements to identify errors, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. The role is dedicated to quality assurance rather than managing a client portfolio, allowing you to concentrate on technical accuracy and professional standards. You’ll review complex work products, interpret plan documents, and provide constructive feedback and training to help junior professionals grow. You’ll also contribute to process improvements, standards development, and broader service initiatives as opportunities arise. The position offers significant autonomy within a growing, nationally distributed organization and a fully remote work environment. With a focus on continuous learning and regulatory awareness, this role is well suited to an experienced retirement plan professional who enjoys detail-oriented, analytical work.
Review work prepared by team members, including annual trust accounting, ADP/ACP testing, 401(a)(4) testing, 410(b) testing, Form 5500, contribution calculations, and safe harbor compliance. Perform quality reviews for work produced by other departments as needed. Identify errors, omissions, compliance issues, and opportunities to improve the accuracy and consistency of work products. Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and training to junior staff members based on quality review findings. Interpret retirement plan documents and related notices to support accurate administration and compliance. Participate in process improvement initiatives, standards development, and client service projects when time permits. Monitor new regulations and legislation and maintain awareness of proposed changes that may affect retirement plan administration. Strengthen professional knowledge through industry seminars, continuing education, and independent study. Requirements: 7+ years of experience in nondiscrimination testing. Strong knowledge of ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code and related regulations. NIPA or ASPPA credentials, or a four-year college degree. Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to identify oversights and assess complex work products accurately and consistently. Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment. Coachable mindset and commitment to ongoing professional development. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to colleagues. Experience with Corbel Documents, Pension Pro, and ASC is a plus. Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer and work from within the United States. Benefits: Base salary of $100,000–$120,000. Salaried, non-exempt position. Fully remote, work-from-home setup. Medical, dental, disability, and life insurance. Paid time off. 401(k) plan with employer match. Necessary computer equipment provided. 37.5-hour workweek. Flexible start time, with the option to begin between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Approximately 1–2 trips per year to the home office, company training, or industry events. No international travel required. Opportunity to contribute to process improvement and professional standards. Career growth opportunities within a growing national organization.
