This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Quality Engineer based in United States. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of business-critical applications through robust automated testing. You will play a key role in expanding end-to-end and API test coverage across the software development lifecycle. Working closely with engineering and cross-functional teams, you will identify defects, investigate issues, and help drive effective solutions. The position combines hands-on test automation with opportunities to influence testing strategy, standards, and best practices. You will work with modern testing technologies across JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js-based environments. Your contributions will help improve test reliability, execution efficiency, regression coverage, and overall product quality. This is an opportunity to make quality a core part of the development process while continuously improving how software is tested and delivered.

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites using tools such as Cypress and WebDriverIO. Build and maintain API automation tests using Karate to validate application functionality and integrations. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript and TypeScript within Node.js-based environments. Execute automated test suites, analyze results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to investigate and resolve issues. Contribute to automation, regression, and performance testing strategies, planning activities, and quality best practices. Continuously improve automated test coverage, reliability, maintainability, and execution efficiency. Participate in code reviews and promote consistent quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborate effectively with engineers and other cross-functional stakeholders to support reliable and high-quality releases. Requirements: Hands-on experience with Cypress, WebDriverIO, and Karate testing tools. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience working in Node.js-based frameworks and environments. Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, and improving automated testing frameworks. Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, automation practices, regression testing, and quality assurance principles. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to investigate issues and identify effective solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and cross-functional teams. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into software build and deployment processes is preferred. Exposure to performance or load testing tools is a plus.
