Recruiting Consultant

Horace Mann is seeking a collaborative and results-driven  Recruiting Consultant to manage full-cycle recruitment across multiple business areas. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders, develop effective sourcing and selection strategies, and deliver an exceptional experience for candidates throughout the hiring process. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship builder who can successfully manage competing priorities, maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment and adapt recruiting strategies to meet a variety of business needs. What You’ll Do Manage all phases of the recruitment process, from intake and sourcing through interviewing, selection and offer acceptance. Consult with hiring managers to establish hiring criteria, develop accurate and engaging job postings, and align on recruitment expectations and timelines. Create and implement effective recruiting strategies based on the position, talent market, industry practices and organizational needs. Develop job advertisements and social media content to attract qualified candidates and strengthen Horace Mann’s employment brand. Review applications, conduct candidate screenings and recommend qualified candidates to hiring managers. Coordinate interviews and assist with the development of interview questions, evaluation criteria and other selection materials. Participate in interviews with managers, directors and other key stakeholders, as appropriate. Partner with hiring managers and Human Resources throughout the offer process to document compensation, incentives, start dates and other employment details. Support background check activities and other pre-employment processes, as needed. Maintain consistent communication with candidates and hiring managers while keeping recruitment processes moving forward. Ensure recruiting and selection practices comply with applicable federal, state and local employment laws, regulations and company policies. Represent Horace Mann at college career fairs, recruiting events and other talent-related activities. Promote diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the attraction and selection process. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Experience managing full-cycle recruitment and supporting multiple positions with varying levels of complexity. Strong consultation, relationship-management and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening, persuasion, negotiation and influencing capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Professional presence and the ability to build credibility with candidates, hiring managers and senior leaders. Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and develop innovative strategies to attract and secure top talent. Strong commitment to providing an excellent candidate experience and representing Horace Mann’s brand and culture. Preferred Qualifications SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential or a similar professional certification.     Pay Range: $66,500.00 - $92,000.00    Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.   #LW-1 Horace Mann was founded in 1945 by two Springfield, Illinois, teachers who saw a need for quality, affordable auto insurance for teachers.
