Seminar format & key facts
Organized detailsOverview
Uni-CV has extended the oral-presentation call for the second REGEA international seminar through 30 September 2026; the hybrid seminar takes place 11–13 November in Praia with remote presentation possible.
Complete seminar details
The seminar 'Repensar o Género a partir da África: tecendo redes, reparando histórias' covers gender, power, memory, territory, migration, health, public policy, climate justice, identity and related themes across 16 working groups. Oral proposals require a 200–500 word abstract with the requested title, authorship, affiliation, participation mode, keywords, research problem, objectives, methodology, results or arguments, and references. Each communication may have up to three authors. A fee applies to presenters/coauthors according to the organizer's event rules, but a single current fee tier is not stated here. An optional full article may later be submitted for evaluation and possible publication as a book chapter.
Eligibility requirements
Researchers, faculty, students, professionals, activists and other interested participants may submit proposals aligned with one of the 16 working groups. The organizer requires references to include at least two works by African authors or researchers whose work concerns Africa.
Tips for this seminar
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check the local time zone, delivery format, prerequisites and whether advance registration is mandatory.
- Review the topic and speaker background beforehand so you can prepare focused questions and get more value from the session.
- Confirm whether attendance, a certificate, recording or follow-up material is provided and whether any participation requirement applies.
Verification notes
The current Uni-CV notice published 2 September 2026 explicitly extends oral-communication submissions to 30 September, confirms 11–13 November dates in Praia and hybrid participation, and states that submissions are sent by email using the official template. The page parser obscures the institutional email address, so no guessed email or application URL is stored.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
